آقاي دكتر ذوالقدري در دومين روز حضور خود در دانشگاه چالمرز سوئد (23/6/95) به دعوت قطب علمي خودروهاي برقي و تركيبي سوئد يك سخنراني با عنوان “سيستم ذخيره ساز تركيبي بر اساس ابر خازن براي سيستمهاي حمل نقل ريلي شهري” در دانشگاه چالمرز بر گزار نمودند. در اين سخنراني علاوه بر خانم دكتر اميليا لوند گرن مدير مركز، يعضي از اعضاي هيئت علمي و پ‍وهشگران گروه مهندسي قدرت چالمرز و افرادي از صنعت حضور داشتند.

ABSTRACT: In the urban railway transportation system, large amount of power is consumed for starting the movement and acceleration of the train. A great part of this energy is transformed to the train kinetic energy which in the case of break is reduced to zero. Thus recovering train kinetic energy during the brake reduces train energy consumption. One of the possible ways is using energy storage during the brake and using it again during acceleration. In this presentation, using super capacitors as fixed and mobile storage for regenerative brake of electric urban trains is investigated. A MATLAB based simulation tool is developed to analyze the electric power transfer in the subway electric grid. Part of line 1Tehran subway is simulated for 5 different traffic scenarios. Energy consumption and voltage level in different points is compared in railway transportation system equipped with different storages with each other and also with subway system without storage system. PSO and Genetic algorithm are used to find the optimal values for the capacity of fixed and mobile parts of the super-cap based storage system.

 

SHORT BIO: Mohammad Reza Zolghadri is an associate professor and head of power system group at the department of Electrical Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, IRAN. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Sharif University of Technology, in 1989 and 1992, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Institute National Polytechnique de Grenoble, Grenoble, France, in 1997, all in electrical engineering. In 1997 he joined the department of Electrical Engineering of Sharif University of Technology. From 2000 to 2003, he was a Senior Researcher in the Electronics Laboratory of SAM Electronics Company, Tehran. From 2003 to 2005, he was a Visiting Professor in North Carolina A&T State University, USA. He is the founder and head of Electric Drives and Power Electronics Lab (EDPEL) at Sharif University of Technology. He is a member of founding board of Power Electronics Society of Iran (PESI). He is the author of more than 100 publications in power electronics and variable speed drives. His fields of interest are application of power electronics in energy systems, variable speed drives, and modeling and control of power electronic converters.
